Radiation Tips

  • I didn't respect "The Rad" but I do now. Don't underestimate the toll this, seemingly easy, treatment will take on you. I was on the table less than 5 minutes but I stayed fatigued. They tried to warn me but I kept thinking "it can't be as bad as chemo, this is the easy part." NEWSFLASH: none of it is "easy". Tip here, listen to your body and rest when it tells you to.
  • Take good care of your skin. Just like with chemo, you don't want to start treating AFTER some nasty side effect shows up. Do all you can to keep it clean and hydrated.
